Hariyali Teej falls on Shukla paksha Tritiya in sharwana month and usually falls two days before nagpanchmi.
The festival of Hariyali Teej has dedicated to lord shiva and goddess Parvati. It is believed that goddess Parvati had to take 108 births before lord shiva accepted her love for him on this day of hariyali Teej, which is celebrated as the union of lord shiva and goddess Parvati.
Hariyali Teej is also known as Choti Teej or sharvana Teej.
Due to the custom of gifting sidhara to her daughter and inlaw, it is also called sidhara Teej.
Sidhara is a small bucket of gifts that contain fruits, bangles, and sweets which is sent to the daughter and her in-laws by the parents of the daughter.
Traditionally, it was customary for married women to visit their parent house on Hariyali Teej, wearing a full singar like bangles, sindur, jewelry, and red sari.
They would then prepare swings, which they would later use in pair while singing special hariyali Teej songs.
On this day, married women pray and workshop to goddess Parvati for conjugal bliss and a very happy married life.

2) There are three types of teej 1) hariyali teej 2) kajari teej 3) Hartailika Teej. Hariyali Teej celebrated in the month of the sharvana then comes bid teej after 15 days of hariyali teej.
3) Teej gets it to name from a small red insect called 'Teej' that makes its appearance during Monsoon.
4) This festival is dedicated to Devi Parvati. The bond between Parvati and lord shiva is considered a symbol of love and devotion.
5) on this day women get together dances, sings, and tell stories. They dress up with new clothes and put Mehandi on their hand.
6) Some women fasts by consuming fruits only and some do nirjala vrat without a drop of water.
7) Single women pray for an auspicious future marriage and married women pray for marital bliss.
8) Traditional dishes are made such as ghawer, milk cake, and gujiya are made.
